new links page
ride-tribe now has its own links page. Check it out under the resources section of the top or side menus.
We've split the links into different categories to make navigation a bit easier. You can nagivate directly to each of the categories from either the top or side menus.
new bike hire fleet
ride-tribe are pleased to announce to the world its brand new fleet of hire bikes to support our cross-country touring trips.
We've teamed up with the legends at Alpine Bikes to provide a small, but perfectly formed, fleet of Cannondale F4Z hardtails with Rock Shox Tora fork and Avid Juicy 3 brakes. Please visit our bike hire page on the web site for more details, including hire rates.
Many thanks to our friends at Alpine Bikes for supplying us with the bikes. And, of course, many thanks to those clever people at Cannondale.
all new ride-tribe route profiler
Ride-tribe is proud to present the all new ride-tribe route profiler. But what is the ride-tribe route profiler I hear you ask?
Well, powered by Google Maps, the tool allows you to plot out your own routes anywhere in the world and then display and print the route profile along with some vital stats about the route, including the all important cumulative ascent and descent.
Thanks to our friends at topocoding.com, Google and NASA for the underlying technology that made the ride-tribe router profiler possible.
You'll find the route profiler under the Resources menu item on the top and side menus. Or click here to go there directly. Happy route planning, fellow bikers.
explore more in 2009!
Here at ride-tribe we are terribly excited about the new trip we're offering. We've teamed with Richard from Spanish Highs to offer some high altitude mountain biking expeditions.
What's on offer is a combo of trekking and biking, either camping out, bivvying or staying at mountain huts. Depending on your timescales and the emphasis of the trip (trekking or biking), you can be pedalling to the summit of Veleta, shoving on your boots to top out on Mulhacen, then bivvying down under the stars at Siete Lagunas.
Find out more on the expedition web page.
The combination of Richard's mountaineering experience, Karl's bike guiding and Nikki's expedition work make for a fairly formidable team. We're ready and waiting to take you on one of the most breathtaking adventures you and your bike* are likely to find!
*and if your bike doesn't fancy it then no problem, you can always hire one of ours!
